Meet Mikkjal Poulsen

It is a pleasure to announce that Mikkjal Poulsen has been appointed CEO of the Tschudi Ship Management Group (TSM Group).

Mikkjal brings extensive leadership experience from the ship management industry, most recently serving as Managing Director of South End Tanker Management / Grona Shipping in the Netherlands and Germany. In addition to his most recent role, he has significant leadership experience from Norden-Synergy Shipmanagement A/S, Thome Ship Management, Dania Ship Management and LSC Shipmanagement (Latvian Shipping Company).

Mikkjal took his Master Mariner’s education at the Tórshavn Navigation School in the Faroe Islands, and at the beginning of his career sailed as Captain onboard various types of vessels working for the Danish shipowner Torm. This hands‑on maritime background has remained a strong foundation throughout his leadership journey.

With a strong track record in commercial development, operational excellence, and international leadership, Mikkjal is well-suited to lead our ship management activities into the next phase of growth and development. In his new role, Mikkjal will oversee all ship management companies to further strengthen our services, customer focus and operational standards across the TSM Group.

Employed in Tschudi Ship Management Aps, Mikkjal will be based in Denmark but will spend considerable time in both the Tallinn and Oslo offices, as well as regularly visiting our other ship management locations.
