How we can help you
As a significant property owner and industrial operator, we are well positioned for developing industries in the region. Owning our own port terminal in Kirkenes, we offer a variety of related services.
Our Arctic port is open all year
Tschudi Bulk Terminals in Kirkenes has three berths: import, export and service. All vessel types can be accommodated. With ample shore power capacity our terminal is well suited for lay-up solutions.
Tschudi Northern Logistics offer agency and clearing services and are ready to assist you and your vessels 24/7. We serve the loading and transportation needs of the adjacent Sydvaranger Iron Mine.
Being ISO9001:2008 certified for all activities our customers know they can trust that we have the necessary internal processes to ensure quality and continuous improvement.
We also offer spacious indoor and outdoor storage. These facilities can be used in conjunction with dry bulk transshipments.
Arctic logistics base
Skjervøy is the home port in northern Norway for Tschudi Marine Services. From our base we provide a range of maritime services (sea and land based) to local industries.
We are particularly active in the acquaculture industry. Currently, we supply our own-produced aluminium containers. These are used for storage and shipment of fish farm equipment.
Having our own on-site workshop enables us to offer additional services - welding, mechanical tasks, underwater inspections, winter lay-up and any general repair that may arise. No task is too big or small.
Tschudi Arctic Protection is an approved RSO (Recognized Security Organisation by the Norwegian Coastal Administration, Kystverket) offering advisory services to ports and port facilities regarding the implementation of the ISPS code.
Our experienced personnel offer the following services:
- Conduct of Port Facility Security Assessment (PFSA)
- Provide Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP)
- Provide support for security drills and exercises
- Conduct port facility security audits
- Provide services for oil spill emergency preparedness planning and execution

Our presence in Northern Norway enables us to facilitate voyages through the Northern Sea Route (NSR). This route being along the Russian coast of Siberia to the Far East.
Compared to sailing via the Suez Canal, the NSR to China shortens the distance of traditional shipping by more than 40%
During the favourable ice season, this route saves both cargo and shipowners fuel consumption, transport time and reduces CO2 emissions. Fuel savings, with a reduced voyage time of approx. 15 days, are substantial.
As energy and mineral resources in the Northern Region develop effective alternative routes between Europe and the Far East will be of increased importance. Read about our pioneering voyage in 2010 here.
We deliver quality gneiss rock suitable for offshore and onshore projects directly from our terminal in Kirkenes.
We are proud of having the longest transshipment experience in northern Norway. Our services enable a quicker turn around of our clients' vessels and increases transport capacity.
