Arctic logistics base

Skjervøy is the home port in northern Norway for Tschudi Marine Services. From our base we provide a range of maritime services (sea and land based) to local industries.

We are particularly active in the acquaculture industry. Currently we supply our own-produced aluminium containers for storage and shipment of fish farm equipment. In addition, our product range now also includes fish flush containers and fish cutting machines.

Having our own on-site workshop enables us to offer additional services - welding, mechanical tasks, underwater inspections, winter lay-up and any general repair that may arise.

We master all tasks and all weather conditions!

Arctic Transits

Our presence in Northern Norway enables us to facilitate voyages through the Northern Sea Route (NSR). This route being along the Russian coast of Siberia to the Far East.

Compared to sailing via the Suez Canal, the NSR to China shortens the distance of traditional shipping by more than 40%

During the favourable ice season, this route saves both cargo and shipowners fuel consumption, transport time and reduces CO2 emissions. Fuel savings, with a reduced voyage time of approx. 15 days, are substantial.

As energy and mineral resources in the Northern Region develop effective alternative routes between Europe and the Far East will be of increased importance. Read about our pioneering voyage in 2010 here.
